In the West, where it is technically a desert, it does not rain in the summertime ever, there are no Great Lakes, no Mississippi River, they find a way to irrigate their crops, and much of the produce we have we get from the Desert in the West. Imperial Valley NEVER rains. However, in the bread basket of our nation there is a cycle of drought and everything is dying because all they can think of is an oil pipeline from Canada. There are the Great Lakes, largest body of fresh water on the planet, and the Mississippi River from which a system of pipelines could irrigate fields and we could have what we don't.... continuance of food. Ditch Monsanto; States can ban them if the Federal Government won't .... grow real food. How stupid is all this?

PLEASE Write your Governors, your state legislatures, and Congress.  Many states are doing local things without the aid of Congress.  States do get together to do things.  It isn't in the Media.  But they doing anyway.  Do It!  Survival depends upon it.
